Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #227

Hi Everyone,
Back again for another week of fun with Stamping 411. Geez…not sure where time goes but it’s time to play again.
Here is the fun and simple sketch that I think you might enjoy.
SSC227
and here is my simple but Elegant Card for  you.
sketch 227 002
I know I’ve featured this DSP before but I just had to use it again with this sketch. It’s just perfect and speaks for itself.
Card Base is Basic Black and cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and then a mat of Crumb Cake cut to 4 x 5 1/4. The DSP is Mocha Morning Specialty Paper and cut to 3 7/7 x 4 1/8. I did a Triple bow using the luscious Black Satin Ribbon. The sentiment is from the stamp set Field Flowers and embossed with our new Pewter Embossing Powder. It’s fabulous!
I hope you will play along with us this week. It’s always fun to see what everyone comes up with.
Have a great weekend.

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #226

Hi Everyone,

Are you ready for some stamping??? This was kind of a last minute card for me….I’ve just been so busy but wanted to play along for sure. So I went to my Go to set for last minute Cards called Easy Events. It’s really an adorable set. You can dress it up or dress it down…it’s easy peasy!

Here is the sketch this week….SSC226

….and my interpretation.

 sketches 226-228-229 and Countdown 3 016

As I said I used the Easy Events Set and stamped in Black Stazon for the cute flower and didn’t want the saying on it so put a piece of scotch tape over to mask it.

Both the Blushing Bride and the Designer Series Paper are cut to 2 x 4 1/8. I then used some scraps of Old Olive and used the Ribbon border Punch to line around it as a faux mat. The Blushing Bride Piece has been run through the Big Shot to give it a little texture using the Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

I used the Large Scallop Circle Punch that houses a cirlce of Blushing Bride cut with my Circles Die and the image piece is stamped and punched with my 1 3/4 Circle Punch. It adhered to the card with Dimensionals. The Ribbon is the Blushing Bride Twill and matches just perfectly.

I hope you like it and will visit Stamping 411 to see what the other Operators are up to. Have a great weekend.

Envelope Gift Card Holder

Hi Everyone,
This is going to be a blast from the past for you.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 013
Remember the Gift Card Holders that we did with Envelopes? I just remembered it today while helping my downline and decided to share it with you
First you will need any envelope, a Crimper, Ribbon, Cutter, Ink , Punch and stamps of choice.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 001
Then you will seal your envelope….
Envelope Gift Card Holder 002  Envelope Gift Card Holder 003
Next place your sealed Envelope in your cutter and cut at the two inch mark.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 004
I decided to punch the ends of the top piece….with my Scalloped Edge Punch.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 005
Now take the larger part of the sealed envelope and run it through your crimper….lines will be going straight up and down when set up right.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 007
This is what you will be working with for your Envelope Gift Card Holder…..The top fits nicely over the bottom now. See…
Envelope Gift Card Holder 008  Envelope Gift Card Holder 009
I then took a Snowflake stamp and stamped it on the top with Crumb Cake Ink and sponged Crumb Cake on the Scallops to better define the edges against the bottom.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 011 Envelope Gift Card Holder 012
I cut a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock to place my Gift Card on…..then I attached a punched piece from our Tab Punch so that the card could be removed easily!
Envelope Gift Card Holder 013
Here is my Decorated and finished Gift Card Holder…I had this extra Snowman sitting on my desk I had done a few days ago…why not right? I attached him to one of the scallops from the Pennant Die and a little Crumb Cake Seam Binding and I’m done.
I hope you’ll give this “Blast from the Past” a try. I had forgotten how fun these were to make.
Have a great Day!

Merry and Type Event Card

Don’t forget the Stampin’ Up! Sign Up Special and my Bonus Bundle for signing up with me….click here to see

Now then….I thought I would share the card I did at the event I did this weekend. It’s simple and Elegant and everyone loved it. I gave the option of coloring in any color they wanted. You should have seen some of the beautiful color combo’s….I’m taking a lesson from my customers…hehe

swap-barb-sharon'c cards 004

This card is so much more beautiful in person. It just doesn’t photograph well. It was done with Lucky Limeade smothered in Dazzling Diamonds. The card base itself uses Shimmer White Card Stock.

Here it is in Baja…equally as pretty. I used a strip of Shimmer white Cardstock to enhance the right panel of the card. It had been run through the Big Shot with the Stripped Embossing Folder. Hope you like it.

Merry and Type in Baja and Pewter 004

The Merry and Type Set is so clean and sharp and sophisticated. I love the ease in using this one. It’s to die for fabulous.

Make sure to try coloring with our Stampin’ Up! Markers….add a little two way glue to the color and smother with Dazzling Diamonds…you’ll have a whole new look. It’s amazing.

Thanks for stopping in and if you need any supplies to begin your Christmas Cards…..I hope you will visit my website and do a little shopping.

The Jacksonville STARZ Do It Again!

Hi Everyone,

I know I have not been posting at a normal pace for awhile. So I thought I would let you know why.

I have gotten heavily involved with The Arlington Civitan here In Jacksonville, Florida and it’s turned into a passion for me. Through them I have become aware of so much need right here where I live. Our mission is to help with either time or donations wherever we can. So I have taken my Stampin’ Up! Business and incorporated it into events with the help of my Downline to raise money for those in need right in our area.

Here is the result….this is not all that were there but a good many of our customers who join us every other month to help those in our community. How fun , huh? October 15th Event 029

We had nine of my Demonstrators involved this time. Third Row starting with Rose Ann (in the mustard shirt), myself, Christina, Susan, Gina, Janet, Lisa T. and Lisa S.. We’re the ones holding hand in the air…but there were actually a few sprinkled in the crowd too. Barb in the left front and Jessica somewhere in there along with Mikki and Roberta. These girls work tirelessly to make these events happen. I had some Civitan volunteers there as well helping with Raffle Tickets, lunch room and keeping this running smoothly. Pretty awesome huh?

Our Charity this time was for Autism Research and 100% of the Raffle Money will go to the Charity. We incorporated The Second Harvest Food Bank as we always do as part of the admission is two cans of food to feed the hungry and this time we had a sneak peek of what’s to come for the next event in December for the Local Salvation Army. We had two representatives there who told us about the Angel Tree and the Stocking Programs for Christmas.

 October 15th Event 028

Can you see the Angel Tree in the background?  A lot of those Angels have found a home and the bags will come back filled in time for the next event and be given back to Clanky (center) and Maria from the Salvation Army who will attend once again in December. So really we accomplished a lot this weekend. We raised $$ for Autism Research gathered about 400-500 pounds of food for the Second Harvest and got the Angel Tree Started for December. What a great feeling to know that by doing what I love and what my downline (girls) love we can accomplish so much.

Thanks to all of our customers for joining in and making it such a success.

Here are a few more pics…..

October 15th Event 032        Lisa T. called me up to the front of the crowd and presented me with a wonderful Restaurant Gift Certificate from my Girls thanking me for getting this all organized. Man look at the bags under my eyes!!! A little sleep and a few days off will help that!

October 15th Event 019….and a framed picture of me receiving my award at the Civitan Meeting. I was named Up and Coming Civitan of the Year in the Florida District. Quite an honor and I had no clue. This framed poster size picture was sitting outside or my classroom with a banner that read “Congratulations Lee”

October 15th Event 052 ..and finally one of the three cakes we had said “Congratulations Lee” on it.

I was overwhelmed…totally overwhelmed. What a beautiful day.

Thanks to everyone involved…You’re the BEST!!! ( I didn’t have pictures of everyone…..sorry about that)

Little by little we are making a difference!! How awesome is that?

Thanks for taking a peek into our day yesterday. It was remarkable!!

Stamping 411 Sketch #225~ Just Believe

Hi Everyone,
We’ve got a fun sketch challenge for you this week. I hope you will think about playing with the Stamping 411 Operators as we would love to see what you come up with. It’s so much fun seeing and learning from others. I hope you will give it a try.
I got a little busy on this card…not like me but I wanted to go a bit out of my comfort zone and give it a try….what do you think? I’m not sure….it’s busy bit I kind of like it.
Here is the sketch
ssc_225
and my busy interpretation…..hehe
Sketch 225 and Countdown #2 002
The card base is Basic Black and cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
Then a mat of vanilla that is 4 x 5 1/4, followed with a red mat 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and then a piece of the Timeless Portrait DSP cut to 3 3/4 x 5. The Image Piece is cut to 3 1/8 x 2 5/8 and matted on a black piece of 3 1/4 x 2 3/4. I added one inch strips of strips to coincide with the sketch and decorated with a little bling. I did a double bow with Red Satin I(isn't it glorious?) and the circle is the 1 3/8 inch and the circle image is stamped in Black Stazon on Very Vanilla and punched out with the 1 1/4 circle punch. I colored in the one flower with my red marker and added a single rhinestone to the center. That’s it. I hope you enjoyed my busy card today!
Thanks for stopping by.

Once again in following with the card from last week I used the Pines and Poinsettias Set from Stampin’ Up! I just love the pinecone image and it’s detail. So easy and really does make a statement, don’t you think?
My colors are the same, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.  The Cherry Cobbler Ribbon was used on this box along with my Magic Bow Maker for the perfect Bow Making.
I used tons of pearl and the Lace Border Punch with just a hint of it being revealed.

Stamping 411 Sketch 224~Tree Trimmings

Hi Everyone,
Another Stamping 411 Challenge Card for you today.  I hope you will go on over the the Stamping 411 Blog and play along or just go over and see all the fabulous creations.
Here is the sketch for the week…
ssc_224
…and my interpretation……
Sketch 224 and Civitan Award 009
This card was so simple to make. I have to admit it took me awhile to figure out what set I wanted to use with this sketch, then finally decided on Tree Trimmings. It’s one of my favorite sets and I love the richness of embossed Ornaments.
The card base is Very Vanilla (I know shocking) cute to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded in half. I did use my corner rounder punch to soften the corners. The next layer/mat is cute to 3 3/4 x 5 and run through the Big Shot. I usedmy most favorite embossing folder in the whole world "Vintage Wallpaper. As you may notice the edges are embossed with Pewter Embossing Powder. I did that by simply dipping the edge into My Versamark Pad Gently and adding some Pewter Embossing Powder and heat setting.  I did round the corners on this piece as well before doing that.
My next mat is Cherry Cobbler and is cut to 2 1/8 x 4 1/4-corners rounder as well. The next mat is cut to 2 x 4 1/8 and run through the Big Shot using my next fav Embossing Folder the Stripped Embossing Folder. To that I stamped the smallest of ornament images three times with Versamark and sprinkled Pewter Embossing Powder over and heat set. Then I cut them out. I know, I know cutting out is not fun but cutting out embossed images is so much easier…it’s like you have a guide. Honest! I added the ornaments to the stripped piece with Dimensionals. I did add a bit of linen thread for the loops at the top. I did emboss the edges of that piece as well.
Now for the assembly….pretty straight forward….added the Vintage Wallpaper piece straight to the Card Base, but added the Double Loop Bow to it before adhering. The stripped piece was taped to the Cherry Cobbler and then popped up with Dimensionals. Then added the Ornaments and saying. The saying was embossed as well and is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set. I markered (is that word?) the edge of that piece with a Cherry Cobble Marker. That’s it!
I hope you enjoyed my little share today and will visit again soon.
Have a great weekend!
