Stamping 411 Sketch 192~Engraved Greetings

Hi Everyone,

I’m kind of excited about today’s Sketch Card from Stamping 411. I don’t often do Man Cards and decided to give it a whirl. I wanted to use this new set I got called Engraved Greetings. So here goes….

The sketch….

SSC192

And my Manly Card!!!!

Sketch 192 003

I just love this Cherry Cobbler and Hound's-tooth pattern together. I hope you do too. When I saw this little set I thought, hmmmmmmmmm Engraved should be embossed, so I did. It’s so rich looking IRL!!

I embossed the Happy Birthday Stamp in Black Embossing Powder for the image piece and punched out and then made a faux mat to go behind in black. My Square is cut to 3 3/8 and The black Mat behind is 3 12 square. The Dry Embossed mat was cut to 3 78 x 5 1/8 and the Black Mat under that is 4 x 5 1/4. I then mounted on to a Cherry Cobbler card that is 4 1/2 x 8 1/2.

Can you see the little strip of DSP peeking out from the inside of the card?

The little design is followed thorough with a stamp that I think matched pretty well and it’s from Artistic Etches and add a little finishing touch to the card along with a little ribbon shredding with some stripped grosgrain.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed your visit and will visit the other Operator’s Works as well.

Have a great weekend!!!

Kelly’s Workshop Card~Morning Cup

Hi Everyone,

I’m working on Kelly’s workshop cards today in addition to a few other things. Kelly is a friend and customer of mine that love-loves-loves Stamping!!! She always does a Stampin’ Up! Workshop on her Birthday!! How fab is that!!! This way if her stamping friends want to get something fun for Kelly they can do so and you know she’ll love it. No returns here!!!! Here is the first card we’ll be making……

Kelly's Workshop Card 2-11 003

It’s the cute Morning Cup Set….and I just love it and all the whimsical things you can do with it. I got a little bold today for me but know these girls love bright colors and I aim to please.

So it’s Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight. Can’t get much brighter than that!!! I hope they like it.

The bow of course is done using the Magic Bow Maker sold on my right side bar or click here to purchase. For those of you that have asked and it’s been many for a double bow loop around twice and a triple three times and just do the same thing you did before.

Well that’s it for today. I’ll be back in a day or two….things are getting busy with Sale-a-Bration!! Want to have a Stampin’ Up! Birthday Party for yourself? Just ask me how……

Have a great day and this one’s for you Kelly! Love ya!!!!

Nature Walk~Again

Good Morning Everyone,

This is a card I created for a workshop I’ll be doing for tomorrow. I love the ease and elegance of the Nature Walk Set from Stampin’ Up! it creates such beautiful projects with so little effort.

Nature Walk and Bow Maker 004

The card base of this is Very Vanilla. The Mat is Black with a layer of First Edition Designer Series Paper. I sponged the edges in black and then sponged a bit of So Saffron onto different areas of the card and added some of the Bee’s randomly. Then I decided to run it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder…warning here…..it did shrink up the mat piece so I adjusted the lenght of the card. Next time I will just add an 1/8” to the length or just emboss the dsp, then mat.

The Bow is made with my Magic Bow Maker available for purchase on my right sidebar. Lot’s of people ask how I do the double and triple bows…..well just wrap it around 2 or 3 times and just follow through with the final tying directions.

Bow maker for sidebar

Thanks for stopping in and hope to see you back real soon.

Stamping 411 Sketch 191

Here we are again…..another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411 hope you’ll play along.

Here is the sketch:

ssc191

…and my COLORFUL !!! Yes you read right….my COLORFUL and flipped interpretation. hehe

Sketch 191 002

It’s amazing how fast and easy this card was and how I just knew what I was going to do with it. I just felt like a little sunshine in my little world today (it’s raining) and these colors came to mind. I’ve got Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Peach Parfait going on here. The various colors are just repeat stamping for lighter and darker shades. I had forgotten how fun that little technique is. I had just mentioned it to a new downline the other day and I thought to myself…you need to bring that oldie back…..

So here is my Repeat Stamping Card hope you like it.

The base of the card is Poppy Parade and cut at 4 1/4 x 11. The Embossed mat is using Peach Parfait and is 4 x 5 1/4 and run through the Big Shot to add the textured dots using the Polka Dot Embossing Folder. The Poppy Mat for the image is 2 x 3 5/8 and the image piece is 3 1/2 x 2 7/8. I drew the stems with a Wild Wasabi Marker and added a little ink smudge to the bottom of the vase to ground it.

Speaking of the vase it’s done with the Extra large oval punch and cut off at the top and bottom. I used two thin strips of Peach Parfait to decorate with and added them with my 2-Way Glue Pen. Then added the tiny pearls for embellishment. Now it kind of looks like a barrel but that’s alright. I kind of like it and will take a barrel of flowers anytime.

The Stamp Set is Sweet Summer and I didn’t think it was my favorite one but is sure making it’s way to the top as I've had more fun with it.

I then used some of out Poly Twill Ribbon in Poppy Parade and did the Thank You from Curly Cute in Poppy as well.

So there ya go…..easy, peasy Colorful Card for this weeks challenge. I hope you will play along.

Have a good one!!

Valentine Sale-a-Bration & So Much More!

Hi Everyone,

Well we’ve been at it again. We (some of my Team Members) held a Valentine Sale-a-Bration here in Jacksonville, Florida. When we host these events we have a charity that we help in the area. This time around we did an event for the Jessica Green Foundation here in Jacksonville. Jessica Green had Autism and passed away a the age of 28. Her Mother wondered what would have happened to Jessica has she outlived her. So she started a foundation to help families of children with Autism and to build group homes for children that outlive their parents or caretakers. So we decided to pitch in and help as best we could.

Here is our stamping event called Valentine Sale-a-Bration!!!

Front row from left to right…..Roberta, Susan, Lisa, Janet, Lee Karen, Gina and Christina.  What a great team of girls this is!!

Notice the mural in the background? That was done recently at the Storage facility where we hold the events. It’s called Bluewater Storage and the folks there are just the best!

Stamping 411 Sketch 190

HI Everyone!

Got a cute Sketch Challenge for you this week from Stamping 411. Doesn’t it look fun? Hope you will play along.

SSC190

Here is my card. I’ve chosen the Morning Cup Stamp Set and decided to make it POP with color…..on white of course!!! hehe

Morning Cup 005

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 11 and folded in half. The image piece is 2 x 3 1/2 and stamped with Black Stazon and colored with markers in Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo…..love these two together!! The Daffodil Delight mat is 2 1/8 x 3 5/8 and the Melon Mambo Mat is 3 1/8 x 3 7/8 and I dotted that with my black journaler. The back mat is 1 -1/4 x 5- 1/8 and the Daffodil delight is 1 -1/8 x 5. I also dotted this Daffodil Piece as well. I then rounded the corners with my corner rounder. Tied a bit of the Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon around and attached to my card. I stamped a little tea bag to put in the center of the bow…..Stinkin’ cute huh? I had fun with this sketch and hope you will too.

Make sure to check and see what the other Operators are doing over at Stamping 411 you’ll be glad you did?

Sweet, Sweet Summer

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick share today. I have my club tonight and this will be one of the projects they will make. It’s a cute little card using the Sweet Summer Stamp Set from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. You can earn this set for FREE just by placing a $50 order here

I wanted to showcase a Sale-a-Bration Set and also our new Window Panes which are delightful Instead of having it showcase something on the card background, I decided to make a little piece to place behind it to show case.

Carolyns Workshop Card 002

The DSP at the bottom is from the Brights Paper Pack and I used Black Satin Ribbon. I stamped everything in Black Stazon and colored in the glower with my Melon Mambo Marker. the stem was hand drawn so I could fit it to the small stamp area.

Hope you enjoyed my share today and hope that Carolyn and her guests will enjoy it too.

Don’t forget that we are in the midst of Sale-a-Bration, it’s the best time of year for you with extra FREEBIES!!!! Check out my website for how you can earn extra Stampin’ Up! Product!!

Stamping 411 Sketch 189

Hi Everyone,

I hope that all of you are well and that it’s stopped snowing. My goodness so many of you have had tons of that white stuff!!!

Hope you have been taking the opportunity to stay warm , sip some Hot Chocolate and Stamp!! What else would you do? hehe

Here is the Stamping 411 sample sketch for this week.

SSC189

….and now my interpretation.

I’m having trouble photographing this as it’s white and it’s dreary outside. This is the lightest I could get.

I am showcasing a cute Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set called Sweet Summer. It’s such a delicate sweet set. When I opened the box of stamps today I saw this cute little swirly leaf one and immediately thought of “Toile’ and thought I’d make some and then pop up some of those cute little blossoms…so I did.

    Sketch 189 -2 003

The card base is whisper white and cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2

Old Olive was used for the mat and cut to 2 5/8 x 4 1/8

The image piece is whisper white and cut to 2 1/2 x 4

I used little scraps for the flowers and stamped in Baja Breeze and then colored directly from my ink pad with a Blender Pen. I also took some Old Olive Ink and added just a touch to the leaves on the front piece…you can barley see it. I sued the Happy Birthday Stamp from Create A Cupcake and stamped in Old Olive onto a scrap of white card stock and matted it on Old Olive. That’s it!!!

I know exactly who I will be giving this to! An older friend of mine will be celebrating her 85th Birthday in March and I think she will love this.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will take the time to play along this week.

Yellow and Black Beauty!

Hi Everyone,

I’m back with my second Stained Glass Card that we did at my class on Monday. Don’t you love the striking look of the Daffodil Delight Yellow and Black? I just love clean and crisp and fresh looks like this for spring. I hope you do too. I featured the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set on this one. I’m still deciding on what I want to put on the inside….maybe the tall grass form Inspired by Nature….hmmmmmmmmm….what do you all think I should do? I’d love to hear. I will put a saying on the outside as needed. I love to leave the option open for when I need it.

Stained Glass Technique 004
