Merry Crittermas with Mojo Monday 154

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Monday.

I thought I would start out the day with a Mojo Monday Challenge…I should be cutting for a class but this challenge intrigued me. Here is the challenge

…..and my card created with the Merry Crittermas Stamp Set.

Merry Crittermas Mojo Challenge 001   The card base is 5 1/4 x 10 1/2

The Cherry Cobble Mat is 5x5, the Old Olive Scallop Mat was done using my square Scallop Die and I cut off 2 scallops….cut the Cherry Cobbler mat to 3-7/8 x 3-1/4 and then the Designer Series Paper (Jolly Holiday) to 3-3/4 x 3- 31/4. the Scallop Circle was done using my Scallop Die and The Circles were made with my Circle Scissors and Big Shot Circle Die.

I stamped the image in black Stazon and colored with my Watercolor Pencils and Blender pen and also picking up a bit of the Color off my ink pads like the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive to match the DSP.

I added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds to the snow area and the bands on the little shirt and hat.

My bow was done with 5/8” Grosgrain in Old Olive using my Magic Bow Maker. See all the wonderful bows you can make with it. These are available on my right sidebar or just click here

Stamping 411 Peaceful Season

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to another Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge.

Here is the sketchssc166

…and here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I’ve showcased the Peaceful Season for this card….I’m sort  of loving the simplicity of it and ease to work with it. Of course the Designer Series Paper make’s it super easy!!

Peaceful Season 002

I’ve actually got a lot more going on than meets the eye here. Like the Brayered Background on the Cherry Cobbler as see below….

Peaceful Season 003

I did this by Brayering ink onto the texture plate and then placing my card front on it and running it through the Big Shot.  Fun and easy and WOW Technique.

The first layer or scrap is 5 1/2” wide by just 1” or whatever you have handy…I only wanted it for the top Chocolate Chip Layer. Then I attached it to the Very Vanilla 1 3/4 “ x 5 1/2 “ and then the DSP 1 5/8” x 5 1/2”

I punched out some 1 1/4” circles and cut them in half for the bottom treatment. Then I placed my Ovals on top using two layers of dimentionals to pop it up even further. I could have used our pop up glued dots but that would have required me getting up and getting them….sometimes I’m so bad!! I added a Holly image that I cut out of the DSP and then a bit of ribbon and lace with a Vintage Brad Wrap….ooohhh I like that name…”Vintage Brad Wrap” I think I’ve got something there!!!

Anyway I hope you will check out what the other Operators are up to, they always have the best of the best to share. Thanks Selene for another wonderful Sketch….you’re the BEST!!!

Hope you can play along this week….

Thanks for stopping by and as always

Peaceful Season

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick share of a card I did for a sketch I found….

cps181

…….and here is my card using lots of what we got at convention.

sandi's journal and cps challenge 003

I of course used Cherry Cobbler for the base of the card and then a mat of Chocolate Chip. Then the Exquisite Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper and then my Image or sentiment….I’m actually using the same set and DSP later for the 411 Challenge so make sure to come back. The three little blocks on the side are covered with Holly leaves I cut our of the DSP (yes I cut those suckers out) and added a strip of Glass Glitter using Crystal Effects. That added lots of sparkle and I like sparkle! Thos of you that know me know that!!

Anyway I’m late getting started today….had an early morning appointment…

Don’t forget my Ribbon Share of the week. It’s the gorgeous 5/8” Grosgrain….I just need two more participants and I can order the Ribbon. You get 3 yards of all thirteen colors for only $26.00 and that includes shipping. Just contact me at the top of my blog where it says contact me. Vintage Ornaments 2

Good Morning Everyone!!

Just a few announcements and then onto my card.

First there was a problem with the voting for the last few days and if you would still like to vote for me as one of the Queens for the Royal Blog Tour you may do so on one of the sites below…and I so appreciate your patience with it and your vote (if you find me worthy).Voting Extended (2)

Ribbon Shares and mystery border 002

….now for my card….

This to me is an ultra contemporary Christmas Card…..I tried to add some ribbon or cording but it said “No” just leave me clean and simple…don't ruin my elegance. So after 30 minutes of struggling as to what I could add…..I left it alone. I think it’s pretty…what do you think?

 Vintage Ornaments 2 003

I love Christmas and Ornaments…..just ask my friend Joanne from Atlanta. Joanne makes hand blown ornaments and gifts me with one every year….I just love them and her for always thinking of me. She does the most beautiful snowflakes….so if ever you want any hand blown ornaments I know that gal for you.

Back to my card…I used the Decor’ Stencils from Stampin’ Up! called Vintage Ornaments 2 #118141 if you are interested.

I also used two of our new colors…Concord Crush and Pear Pizzaz and sponged them on over the stencil doing the greeen one first, then the concord one to cover up and overlap…I think they are so pretty together. I jazzed it up a bit with our new Rhinestones and called it a day. Simple, Pretty and Quick. Oh I almost forgot…I used the snowflakes from Snow Swirled with Craft White and a bit of Shimmer Paint in the White Frost.

That’s all for today….I hope you will come back often and leave me a comment. I’d love to hear from you.

Stamping With My Girls Today!

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share a few cards I made this morning that I will be doing with my Pace Girls today. The Pace Center for Girls is a school for Girls at Risk. I go over there once a month and teach them how to stamp. You may recall I did a Benefit with some of my downline to Build them a Stampin’ Corner in their school. They are really enjoying it.

So here is what we will be doing today.

They are quick and simple cards and I think they will like them. The Wow Flower set I found on my shelf this morning so will donate it to the school as they write (or are begining to) Thank You Cards.Crd Sample for Event and Pace Cards August 013

So that is my little share for today. I’m sorry I haven’t posted for a few days. I’ve had workshops all weekend. Nothing like Partying all the time. If you’d like to become a Demonstrator and Party all the time just let me know…..I’d love to have you on my team!!

Thanks for stopping by and as always….

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge 165

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411

I have a fun card to share with you today….I hope you enjoy it.

Here is the sketch….ssc165

….and here is my fun card.

Stamping 411 Sketch 165 002

I decided to use the cure Merry Crittermas Set that will be in our Winter Mini…isn't the bunny cute?

I water colored him with my Water Color Pencils and a Blender Pen. I just love the way these tow products work together. So my little Bunny is coming down fast on that snowy hill….hand on Bunny!!!

My Circles were cut using the Circle Scissors and I did two in Red Card Stock. One is a 3 1/4” and one is a 3 1/2” circle. The smaller one is run through the Big shot with the Polka Do Embossing Folder. The larger one is plain but I decided to add some cute little dot’s staying with the Polka Dot Theme.

My Image piece was stamped with Black Stazon and measured

3 1/2 x 4” I tore it in three pieces to stagger it like snow slopes and dazzled them up a bit with Dazzling Diamonds. The snow flakes are from the Merry Detail Sizzlet.

I used the Curly Label punch for the sentiment and Red Grosgrain Ribbon for the bow. I cut down on of the snow flakes to center on the middle of the bow. Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by…I hope you get a chance to play along with us, we so enjoy seeing your creations.

Guess What It Is…. and Ribbon of the Week

Hi Everyone,

Well I have to tell you it was pretty fun hearing all of your comments and thoughts on how I made the border on this card.

image

I got all sorts of answers here on my blog and by personal email. It really got some of you thinking…huh?

The correct answer is the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pak and I used the little scallop punch.

Here is the beginning of what it would look like ……..

Ribbon Shares and mystery border 007

…and here is how I attached it in the back. I used a Two-way Glue Pen to attach the little suckers on there. Made for a pretty frame don't you think?

Ribbon Shares and mystery border 009

So the Mystery is solved. I'll have to see what else I can come up to keep you guessing.

Now for my………

Ribbon Shares and mystery border 005

Contempo Christmas and Guess What It Is?

Good Morning Everyone,

Boy I guess I’m in the mood for Christmas these days.  just love Christmas and getting the ideas rolling for my clubs, camps and classes.

New Christmas Pictures 8-16-10 005

This card Features the Contempo Christmas Stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I thought a Turquoise Tree might be fun as it would be so contemporary, but wanted to add a bit of Vintage into the mix with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

I did the Tree by Stamping in Versamark, adding Heat and Stick Powder and after Heating pouring on the Fine Cosmo Glitter and reheating for just a few seconds to set. I stamped the Tree Pot in Crumb Cake and cut it out to pop it up.

As you can see I’ve done it on an oval and then made the Turquoise border around it….can you guess what I did that with? Oh, I also added one of our new Glitter Brads that will soon be released…….and finished it off with one of my double bows made with my Magic Bow Maker…..image it can be seen and purchased on my right side bar.

I’m anxious to hear your guesses on the Turquoise Oval Border….so what do you think it is?

Hope you have a Stampinglee Good Day!

Bells and Boughs and Anniversary

Good Morning Everyone,

Before I get to my card making I have a special announcement to make…..

Today my Husband and I Celebrate our 41st Wedding Anniversary. I just can’t believe it! Seems only a few years ago we were dating!!! This is my Husband Darrell below….such a cutie, don’t you think?.I think I’ll keep him!! Happy Anniversary!! Love you!!!!

Awards Dinner at Howey in the Hills 009

….now on with the show

Here’s a little card I did yesterday with the Bells and Boughs Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! I may use this one for a Swap I’m in with 31 other Demonstrators around the country….what do you think?

Bells and Boughs Swap

This card features the Bells and Boughs Stamp Set. I sponged the oval area with Pear Pizzazz and Crum Cake. The layers are Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler….hmmmmmmm this card is making me hungry with those names. The image is stamped in Black Stazon and colored in with Markers.

I of course had to put a little embellishment on it so I added three of our gorgeous pearls on it.

tip:  The best way to pick up these pearls and apply is to pick them up with your paper snips. Open you snips and slide under the pears part way closing the snips a bit. Picks up the Pear and the adhesive then apply to paper and remove the snips. Easy Peasy!

Merry Crittermas

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I’d like to give you a little sneak peek of a card made with the set that will be in the Holiday Mini. It’s called Merry Crittermas…isn't it cute?

Merry Crittermas 001

When I first saw this set I had to have it this is only one of the stamps in the set of Critters. They are so darn cute.   Be watching for you Holiday Mini to arrive….you’re going to love what’s in it. If you don’t have a Demonstrator and would like a Holiday Mini just email me and I will get one to you.

I’ve used Certainly Celery and Real Red for this cute card…..and sparkled up the snow with some Dazzling Diamonds.

The bow of course was done with my Magic Bow Maker available for purchase on my right sidebar. With this particular bow I again wrapped the ribbon around twice to make a double bow.  It really makes it festive don’t you think?

I guess that’s it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and hope to see you tomorrow.

Stamping 411 Sketch Card~Snow Swirled

Hi Everyone,

It’s time for another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411. I hope you will find some time in your week to play along.

Here is the sketch:

ssc164

…and my interpretation…….

Lee164 (2)

I’ve showcased the Snow Swirled Stamp Set here and embossed with Silver. I added some silver card stock by punching some circles and adding to the back of the image piece creating a scallop border. Then jazzed it up with some of our awesome Rhinestones.  the Image piece is 3 1/4 x 4 and completely done with Versamark and Silver Embossing Powder.  I did add some Rhinestones to the tree and a larger one on top. My Bow is a double bow and I attached my small stamped oval to the center with dimensionals. I also added Rhinestones to the ends of it. The saying Noel comes from the Many Merry Messages Set.   I think I got a little carried away with my rhinestones but what the heck…..it was fun to make. Let’s not forget the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder on the front base of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a ………….

Stampin’ Up! Bells and Boughs

Hi Everyone, I feel guilty I haven’t stamped in a few days. I’ve been getting ready for a few workshops and a few workshops in a box…..but I’m here now…so I hope you like the little share I did today.

It’s featuring a set that will be coming out in the New Winter Mini due to hit your mailboxes by the end of the month.  So keep an eye open for it. If you don’t have a Demo and would like a ne Mini, let me know…..I’ll get one to you.

Here is my share….. Bells and Boughs 002 I stamped the image in Black Stazon as I intended to watercolor it with my Aqua Painter and Watercolor Pencils.  So I did….then I realized I wanted more vibrant REDS in the Poinsettia’s. So I ended up going back with my Markers and darkening some areas to my liking.

I honesty was going to try and use lots of color on this card and didn’t quite make it….you know me and my White and Vanilla. I’m hopeless, huh? Well I did add some dots in red around the image….hehe Does that count???

My little bow is done using my Magic Bow Maker and looping it around twice and tying. It’s that easy. You can find that on my sidebar if you are interested.

Well that’s it for today….I’ll see you back later with the Stamping 411 Challenge.

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!!!

Sara’s Workshop in a Box

With the August Hostess Special going on who wouldn’t want to take advantage of a Workshop in a Box. Call a few friends and invite them over to stamp. I supply the projects and you supply the fun. You collect the orders and we get together via phone or email and close your workshop. You will receive an EXTRA $25 in Stampin’ Up! Merchandise until the end of August with a $350 workshop. That’s in addition to the regular Hostess Benefits. If you are interested just contact me for more details.

This is my Workshop in a Box for Sara…

This card showcases The Batty For You Set. It’s what Sara had on hand that she wanted to use in her workshop…it was fun creating this for her. I used the Sanded background stamp and then sponged with Perfect Plum and Pumpkin Pie. then I added some black around the edges to give it a little smoky feel. The ribbon treatment is done using my Magic Bow Maker and the 1 1/4” Striped Grosgrain in Black. I did a little Ribbon Shredding on the ends…..what do you think?

Sara's Workshop in a Box 004

Since we use sets we have in common (or you can pre-purchase a set from me to work around) she decided to use The Dasher Stamp. This is a clean and simple card that still has a bit of WOW effect with the Embossing and Silver Card Stock.

Sara's Workshop in a Box 003

Sara is a long distance customer of mine who does Workshops in a Box for me. Here is what Sara had to say the other day on my blog…..she’s so sweet!!!

“Lee's putting together another "party-in-a-box" for me. We met when I was living in Florida and now I'm in Idaho. I didn't want to lose my favorite demonstrator when I moved, so Lee just "moved" with me! :) Every three or four months I have a party -- Lee and I coordinate and choose sets that we both have. Then she cuts all the paper and sends me everything so that I can be a "demonstrator for a day!" Works perfectly! :)”

This may work perfectly for you too. Let me know if this is something you would like to do with your friends.

Thanks for stopping by and as always…..

Fast and Fabulous

Hi Everyone,

I want to share a card first using one of the sheets of card stock you will be getting in your share. It’s the “Presto Patterns” DSP!! Can I just say WOW!!! I decided to use a small piece of this on my card and built around it. I’ve been itching to use the new Poppy Parade so did so on the Presto Patterns Paper….what do you think?

Fast and Fabulous Oriental 002

The card base is whisper white and I used my brayer to roll on some Poppy Parade Ink onto the Presto Patterns DSP. Didn’t it come out pretty? So then it seemed a bit oriental to me so I added just a smidgen of black to the mix to make it pop. Topped it off with some of our luscious Stitched Poly Twill (is fabulous for bow making) and added the little Dream symbol from Dream Gardens. The image stamp is one of our Hostess Sets (Fast and Fabulous) which I stamped in the Poppy Parade as well. I removed a bit off the stems with a blender pen and used my Old Olive Marker to add a bit of green before I stamped the image. I think it’s quite striking….I hope you agree.

If you would like to get in on the first grouping of Ribbon or Designer Series Paper share continue to read on….or click on my sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by and as always I wish you a….

Stamping 411 Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Time for another Stamping 411 Challenge. I hope you will take the time to play along with us this week.

Here is the sketch:ssc163

…..and my simple Interpretation

Fast and Fabulous 003

I just love these flowers from the Lever Two Hostess set “Fast And Fabulous”. I decided to ink up the image with my new Concord Crush Marker and an old Olive Marker. I then used just a bit of the Daffodil Delight marker for the center and some of the stamen in the flowers.

When you ink up a stamp with markers you should huff on it to remoisten the ink before stamping. I stamped three of them. They were so pretty left white but I decided it needed just a hint of color….so I took my aqua painter and pulled color from the edges of the flowers to just give a tint of color. Easy Peasy. Give it a try…You’ll love it.

The measurements for my card are:

White Card Base textured with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder is 4 1/2 x 11

Concord Crush Mat is 3 –7/8 x 4- 7/8

White Image Piece is 3 3/4 x 4 3/4

I got to finally use the new Concord Crush Poly Twill Ribbon too……I just the way it works up for bows. Very cool.

That’s it for today. Please feel free to play along and as always…

Stampin’ Up! Contempo Christmas

Hi Everyone,

As much as I tried the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder is so lovely I just couldn't cover it up. I did a white card base (I know how shocking, huh?) and a white layer embossed with the Elegant Lines.  I wanted to try out my new Contempo Christmas Stamp set and decided I could do one Ornament and make it sparkle!!! Crisp White and Sparkle…can’t beat it!!

Christmas Cards 002

I inked up the image in Versamark and then Certainly Celery. Then stamped on a scrap of white card stock. I then oiured some Heat and Stick Powder on it and heat it with my Heat Tool. Once heated I quickly added the Certainly Celery Fine Cosmos Glitter on top of the ornament and heat set one more time…and Voila!!!

I love Heat and Stick Powder as it allows you to glitter all or part of an image.

I hope you enjoyed my simple share today…..like I always say…cards don’t have to be difficult to be beautiful!!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back soon.

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Lineup

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick share today. got lots to do to get ready for my camps on Friday and Saturday.

I’d like to share another card we will be doing at my camp featuring the Holiday Lineup Stamp Set. I have to admit I shamelessly cased this card from one I saw on someone's desk In Riverton, Utah at the Stampin’ Up! Headquarters. It was done in Bashful blue where I decided to do it in Marina Mist. (So if you are the artist please let me know and I will give you credit.) Isn’t it the cutest in blue???

Holiday Lineup 002

The Image is done won watercolor paper and I used our Watercolor Pencils and a Aqua Painter to color it. I changed it up just a bit but the original design is there.

Now you’re probably wondering about the stand it’s sitting in. Well My Sweet Hubby has decided he would give these a try and they are now available for purchase on my Side Bar. It’s a great way to display your cards either at home or if you are a Demonstrator at your workshops. How easy it is to just move the block to see your card with no inky fingers touching your creation.

I guess that’s it for today. Hope to see you back soon and as always…..

Stampin’ UP! Scenic Season and Bow Maker Samples

HI Everyone,

I thought I would share a couple of cards (make sure to scroll down) that were sent to me that are using my Magic Bow Maker available on my Side Bar.image

I’d like to start with one I’m doing for a Workshop I’m doing on Tuesday.  I am featuring the Scenic Season Stamp Set again….one of my favorites. I simply embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder and added some of our new Rhinestones to the tops of the tree’s. I also added a special little white satin bow to the left side. I wrapped it under the mat on the left and trimmed the right side to show how delicate it is and to give it an end. I love the way this came out…..simple and elegant. I hope my girls like it Tuesday.

Scenic Season in White and Silver 004

…now on for some more cards by some fellow Stamper’s who have also told me how they like the Magic Bow Maker. I just know you will enjoy they’re work and don’t forget to visit they’re blogs too.

“Hi Lee

I wanted to let you know how much I am loving my Bow Maker.  I'm still amazed at how easy it is to use, and most important, how beautiful each and every bow looks.  Big or small bow, it doesn't make a difference--perfection every time.  I think every single crafter needs one of these nifty little gadgets.  Thanks!

Susan B”

christmas cards and susan's cards 002 http://www.stampinginferno.com

“Lee,

“I have trouble with my hands from RA, but I love beautiful bows. "Bow challenged" would be the best way to describe me. The Magic Bow Maker solves both of my limitations. It is easy on my hands and makes a beautiful bow, and it is fast! Lee,shipped it very quickly and the tutorial is easy to understand.”

“Hello Lee

“Ouh La La, I just wanted to write you a quick note to Say: THANK YOU so much for coming us with such an amazing tool!

So thank you for the making our lives just a little easier with this magnificent tool! In my last class everyone purchased one! They all loved it as much as I do!

Please see a card that I made for my husband and I’s 21 wedding anniversary, I used your BOW MAKER of course!  Thanks again Lee you are brilliant!”

"I've always been challenged making bows...knots I can do...bows, not so much.  I found Lee's Bow Maker and quickly ordered it.  Wow!  So simple!  Her Bow Maker instructions make it easy to use and create stunning bows right from the start!  It works with all types of ribbon, although Satin Ribbon is my favorite."
