Bloomin’ Beautiful

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

It’s time for another Challenge from Stamping 411.

….and my interpretation…..

This Stamp Set “Bloomin’ Beautiful” has been so neglected!!! I just love this set and how easy it is to use. It makes up a beautiful card in no time.

The base of the card is Basic Black and is 4 1/4” x 11”

The Lovely Lilac Mat is 2 1/4” x 4 1/4” and is covered with a piece of the Night and Day Transparency with the black dots.

The image piece is 3 x 3 1/4 and is stamped in Black Stazon. I colored in the image with my watercolor pencils and crayons using my aqua painter.

The black mat beneath that is 3 1/4 x 3 1/2 and the Lovely Lilac beneath that is3 3/8 x 3 5/8

I used some of our fabulous Black Grosgrain Ribbon and tied a pretty bow at the top of the card.

Merry Christmas & Blog Candy

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas week. I know it’s busy around here. We just got back from Atlanta a few days ago. We spent some time with our oldest son and his wife and our two grandkids. It was so good to see them. The grandkids are growing way to fast for me. Just seems like yesterday that they were little.

Here they are with a few things they got from us for Christmas!!! Aren’t they beautiful?

Bird on a Branch Oriental Style

 

Good Morning Everyone,

The weeks seem to be flying by. I just can’t believe it!!!

It’s time for another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411. I hope you’ll find some time for yourself to stamp a little. Even if it’s 10 minutes. It’s a great stress reliever.

Here is this weeks sketch…..

…and here is my interpretation. I am so pleased with the simple elegance of this card. I love the colors together. It’s So Saffron and Basic black. Of course the image piece is white.

The featured stamp set is Bird on a Branch (one of my favorites) and I paired it with Garden Dreams. I thought the symbol gave the card a bit of an oriental twist. What do you think?

The Dimensions are:

So Saffron: 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” (used a Texturz Plate on that)

Basic Black 3 x 3 1/2” Is run through my Big Shot with an embossing folder.

White: 1 3/4” x 3 5/8”

I used a scrap of white for the sentiment.

Elegant Thank You

Good Morning Everyone!

It’s time for another Stamping 411 Challenge Card. Here is the delightful Sketch….

…and my interpretation. Very little Stamping here…the only thing stamped is the sentiment. I used some of our fabulous Night and Day Designer Paper and the Lattice Die that I used in My Big Shot. I added a few Rhinestone Brads for Bling to jazz it up and texturized the base of the card .

I’ll be you’re wondering abut the sentiment….well it’s stamped on Whisper White and punched out with the Large Oval Punch. Behind That oval are two punch outs of the Designer Label attached to the back to give it a Medallion Look .I added two strips of Black Grosgrain and attached it with Tombo Multi Glue.

Voila’ Birthday

Good Morning and welcome to another Saturday of fun with Stamping 411. As you may or may not know I am one of the “Operators” over there. I’m joined by a great group of Gals that make this so fun. So why don’t you hope on over and play along with us.

Here is the sketch this week:

….and here is my interpretation: ( I cheated a bit on placement)

I have showcased the “Voila “ Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! and made it into a Birthday Card. I used some of the Night and Day Designer Series Paper to stamp the Chef’s jacket and hat with. Then I did a little paper piecing. So very little coloring here. I sponged the walls with so Saffron as it seemed appropriate. I then felt like this little guy needed a floor and why not a Black and White Tile floor to match the theme of the card. I just used my ruler and marked off block with my black Marker and colored some in. that’s it.

Dimesnions for the card are:

Real Red Card Base: 5 1/2” x 8 !/2 “

Black Mat: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2”

White Image Piece: 3 3/8” x 4 5/8”

The Tray was colored in with my Zig Painty and the Dome was stamped on some Brushed Silver and cut our.

The little Happy Birthday was stamped on white that is 1 3/8 x 1 3/8 and I used marker on the edges to give it a matted look.

Jolliest Time of the Year

Good Morning Everyone!

I’d like to share a card I did featuring the “Jolliest Time of the Year” Stamp Set.

I’ve adored this little Santa ever since Stampin’ Up! has come out with him. I decided for this card to use the Tres Chic’ Background Stamp with it. Don’t you just love all of those wonderful words? I then cut the Santa out and popped him up with dimensionals. Of course I had to use Dazzling Diamonds on his beard and fur on his jacket, then my favorite Embossing folder Petal’s-a- Plenty for the front of the card base to give it texture. I just love this little guy and hope you do too.

Lovely As a Tree

Good Morning Everyone!

Just wanted to share this gorgeous card I cased……I wish I could remember who I cased it from. If you’re out there let me know so I can give you credit. This was such a pretty card I had to make one of my own.

I changed it up a bit with my punched sentiment.

I used Whisper White and Ruby Red. I stamped the image in Always Artichoke along with the sentiment. The white mat is run through the Big Shot with my texturz plate and the sentiment was punched out with the Largest Oval Punch.
