Lattice Cake

Good Morning Everyone,

I am so excited to share a little Demonstration one of my customers did at my afternoon Stamp Camp Yesterday.

First I’d like to introduce Joy who is a wonderful cook. I only met Joy last week and she expressed and interest in the Lattice Big Shot Die…but for other reasons. So we struck up a deal and she brought the cake and Demonstrated what she was going to do.

Here Joy is placing the Die-cuts on the top of the yummy cake she made.

…and I thought she was done…..

Joy and the Lattice Cake 006

She’s just full of surprises and the girls were all anxious to see what she had in that little container.

Joy and the Lattice Cake 007

OMG!!! Can you believe she made Pumpkins and Leafs and Acorns and a Gourd to place on top of the cake fashioned right out of our catalog from the Autumn Harvest Set. She made these with Marzipan.

Joy and the Lattice Cake 008

Isn’t it GORGEOUS??? She is so creative!!!

Thanks Joy for a wonderful Presentation and also for the fabulous cake.

So we have yet another idea for our Die Cuts!!!

Thanks for stopping by and as always…

Flower for All Seasons

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to another week of Stampin 411 Challenges.

I hope you will play along. Here is the Sketch:

ssc118

…..and now my interpretation of it.

Sketch 118 009

For this Sketch I showcase the  “A Flower for All Seasons” Stamp Set.

My Cardstock Sizes are:

Real Red-5 1/2” x 8 1/2”

Whisper White ( I have two layers) 3’ x 5 1/2” and 1’ x5 1/4”

The circles were done with my Circle Scissors and are 3”& 3 1/4”

I decided to leave the sentiment off and place it on the inside of thee card as I wanted the snowy effect to be clean and crisp.

I used the Petal-a-Plenty Embossing Folder ( in the Big Shot) on the red and one layer of the white. The thin strip of white that peeks out is covered in Dazzling Diamonds. I don’t think you can see that I have misted the whole card with a Shimmer Mist. This concoction was created by my downline Sharon Field. I’m so glad she share it with me. It just makes a card sparkle like crazy. Click here for directions. Thanks for sharing this Sharon.

I guess that’s all for today…..hope to see you back soon.

Andy’s Hot Chocolate Holder

Good Morning Everyone!

I have a long distance customer that loved my Gift Card Tin done with Dasher and wanted me to adapt it to a Hot Chocolate or Hot Cider Holder.

So here it is. I used 12x12 Cardstock and cut it at 4 1/4”, then score at 5 1/2” from either end.  I ran one side through my Big Shot using the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder to texture the front. I then Stamped Dasher onto a piece of Very Vanilla and mounted on Soft Suede. Dasher is stamped in Sort Sued as well. I then attached to the bag with Dimensionals.

Sketch 118 011

I place the making’s of the Hot Chocolate into a Cello Bag and placed inside and stapled once to hold together. Then tie your ribbon and attach either by punching two holes and threading through or tying a bow and attaching with glue dots. Either way will work.

I suggested to Andy she could either place the candy cane stick inside the bag or tie into the bow and with the cider perhaps a Cinnamon Stick.

oh,

I also used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment attached with glue dots at the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a…..

Humor in High Heels Gift Card Tin & Source

Good Morning Everyone!

I’ve got yet another Gift Card Tin for you today. As you know I have a Vendor Fair to do so I made a variety of them. I thought this one would be cute for a Shopping Spree Gift Card. I know I’d like that!

This Gift Card Tin was made with the Humor in High Heels Stamp Set. The Gift Card Tins are available at most Craft Stores, Lowes, Home Depot and most large retail chains. They are usually by the cash registers. You don’t have to worry about the design…you’ll be covering it up. Do however make sure the bottom of the tin is a color you want. I got mine that were mostly silver…so I could use most any color. I hope that clears up the mystery of where I got them. So may of you asked…I figured I would just clear it up here.

Dream Gardens

Good Morning Everyone!

Here we are again with yet another Stamping 411 Challenge….where does the time go?

Here is the sketch:ssc117

…and here is my interpretation…..

Dream Gardens 001

I have showcased the “Dream Gardens’ Stamp Set and also used Embrace Life for the card background.

The card base is done in Basic Black and is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 …..the Crushed Curry mat is 4” x 5 1/4”….the small black mat is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2….crushed Curry is 2 3/8 “x 3 3/8” and the image piece is 2 1/4” x 3 1/4” .

I Stamped the image in black and used my markers to color in different areas of her kimono. I had these cute little drink umbrella’s so I cut one down and place it at the top of the card. I knotted some black grosgrain and attached with my Mono Multi adhesive (I love that stuff) and then added an element with my circle punches to finish it off.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and hope that you will hop on over to Stamping 411 and play along or just visit if you’d like. There is a whole lot of talent over there between the Operators and the people playing along. It’s always fun to see how many different ideas you can get with one sketch.

Hope to see you back soon!

Delightful Decorations

Good Morning Everyone,

here is another card we will be making at my Stamp Camp on September 25th and 26th.

I’m showcasing the Delightful Decorations Set and the Punch that goes with it. This is so darn easy to use. You’re going to love it.

The base of the card is Whisper White followed by a mat of Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White again. The Ornaments were stamped on White with Soft Suede, Eggplant and Bermuda Bay. Then I just punched them out and placed them on the card with dimensionals and decorated with silver cording.

Le Jardin Christmas

Hi Everyone,

If you ever visited before you know I like clean crisp lines and lots of White…I love white on white with just a tad of color. I think it’s just smashing. Now, if you add a little texture to it to boot…..it’s fantabulous!!

That’s how I feel about this card. I just love the clean fresh lines, texture (done with out Petals –a-Plenty Embossing Folder), and a tad of striking Red.

Le Jardin Botanique was perfect Stamp Set for this design. It meets all my personal criteria….

I will be doing this card at my September Christmas Stamp Camp on the 25th and 26th. I hope everyone likes it. September Stamp Camp 006_thumb[14]Le Jardin

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate your comments so much. It really makes my day!!

Scenic Season

Good Morning Everyone!

I’d like to share a card we’ll be doing at my Christmas Stamp Camp on September 25 and 26th. If you’re in the Jacksonville, Florida and would like to come just give me call.

We’ll be using the Scenic Season Stamp Set and the “Dryer Sheet” Technique.

September Stamp Camp 010_thumb[12]Scenic Season

Doesn’t it just look wintery to you? If you don’t know about the Dryer Sheet Technique let me tell you.

First you want to stamp your image onto your image piece. Then you want to place it in a box or carton (I use a Carton that is open on the top and one side, kind of like a paint booth). You will need Spray Adhesive, a used, ironed(very important to use used dryer sheets as it breaks down the fibers) dryer sheet and Dazzling Diamonds…don’t forget your Powder Pal.

Okay, so now you’ve stamped your image and placed it in the box/carton…..then you will spray the top of the image piece with the adhesive and quickly lay a ironed dryer sheet on top of it (you can probably cut it in half) and pat it down.  Quickly place your covered and sprayed image in your powder pal and pour Dazzling Diamonds over it. Tap to release the excess Diamonds and trim the edges with scissors. You are now ready to mat your card as you like.

I know the camera does not do this justice….it’s just as sparkly as a new fallen snow.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoyed your stay.

Sweet Centers Halloween Card

Good Morning Everyone!

I’ll be doing a workshop at Kelly’s and this is what we’ll be making. I don’t think you can tell from the picture but the Ghosts and Goblins are glittered with Dazzling Diamonds.

This set is very fun to play with and so easy to use and just think if you Hostess a workshop or collect orders totally $250 or more you can get this set for only $10! The set is called Sweet Centers and is in our new Holiday Mini and it normally retails for $29.95. So who wouldn’t want it for $10?!?

The card is made of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and Cast A Spell Designer Series Paper. I stamped the image in Old Olive to coordinate with the DSP and added a bit of ribbon. I used two of our punches and the saying is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I added a little bit of Ribbon Shredding to add a bit of spookiness to it. So what do you think?

I've had a few people ask how I did Ribbon Shredding.....I cut a small length of Ribbon and cut the edge off of one side, but not all the way. Then start pulling the fibers away from the piece. Cut off the other edge when you've pulled most of the fiber. Again not cutting the edge totally to the top. You'll need something to keep it together.

Kelly's Party 001

I guess that’s it for now…..if you would like to make this card using the Sweet Centers Stamp Set at your workshop just let me know. I will be happy to get a party together for you.

Thanks for stopping by and as always…..

Boo! …..no….

Scenic Season

Good Morning Everyone!

It’s time for another sketch challenge form Stamping 411

I hope you’ll take the time to visit and play along. This weeks sketch is:

ssc116

…..and my interpretation is:

Scenic Season 007

For this card I am showcasing our beautiful “Scenic Season” Stamp Set. To stamp only one tree I used markers to color in the image I wanted. Once you have done that you do what they call huffing on it (a  little heavy breathing) to remoisten the ink, then you stamp. So whenever you want part of an image done you can do this or if you want several colors on a stamp and wondered, how did they do that? You would color with markers and Huff.

Handsome Hunter Foldover Piece: 5 1/2” x * 1/2” I ran the front of it through my Big Shot with a Texturz Plate.

White strip is cut to; 2”x4 #/4” and stamped the Merry Chrismas from the (Cardinal Christmas Set and the corner Greenery and Poinsettia (done with markers) from the Patterned Pines Hostess Set from our New Mini Catalog.

My red piece is cut to 2 1/4”x 3 1/2” and my white image piece is cut to 2 1/8”x 3 1/8”.

I added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds to the ground to resemble fresh sparkling fallen snow. I think it did the trick.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your visit today and hope you’ll come back often. Please go on over to Stamping 411 and see what everyone’s been up to and hopefully play along.

Sparkly and Bright

Good Morning Everyone,

Just a quick share of yet another Gift Card Tin showcasing the darling stocking in the “Sparkly and Bright Stamp” Set.

The background is embossed and the colors used are white, Real Red and Garden Green. I also used a bit of Dazzling Diamonds on the middle stocking and added red dots to the stocking on the left and red and green dots to the stocking on the right. It’s just gotta tie in, you know?

I hope you enjoy it.

Tree Trimmings

Good Morning Everyone!

I am so in love with this Tree Trimming set from Stampin’ Up! I just think it’s so elegant.

This was a card I did for a recent swap I was in, I had to make over 30 of them. You would think I’d be tired of it by now but it’s one of my favorites. So here it is:

Tree Trimmings 007

I embossed the image in Gold and cut it out and mounted it with dimensionals. I place a piece of our gold cording behind for the hanger and just a knot of red ribbon to bring out the gold mat. I used our Petals-a-Plenty for the textured background and can I just say how fabulous that embossing folder is!!! It’s a WOW factor every time. The base of the card is Very Vanilla and accented with the Brushed Gold and Red Cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed it and thanks for dropping in. I hope to see you back soon.

The More the Merrier Gift Card Tin

God Morning Everyone,

Here’s another Gift Card tin I’ve made for my Vendor Fairon September 18th.

I’ve had many requests as to where I purchased these. You can get them at many Discount Stores, Craft Stores and even Lowe’s. You will see them by the checkouts.

For this one I made a cute Girly Birthday Tin…just right for that Special Friend or Daughter. It’s so soft and pretty in real life. I am showcasing “The More The Merrier” Hostess Set on this one. I love coloring in these cupcakes and making them soft looking. Then of course I have to use Dazzling Diamonds.

I love the look of our Melon Mambo with white and black…so cool and crisp, yet soft.

Thanks so much for stopping in and as always…….

Berry Merry 003

Very Vanilla Texturz Piece is: 3 x 3 3/4” and I used our new Embossing Folder on it from Stampin’ Up! called Petal a Plenty…isn’t it pretty?

Old Olive: 2 -3/4” x 5”

Real Red: 1- 3/4” x 4- 7/8”

Very Vanilla: 1- 5/8” x 4 -3/4”

I used Gold Embossing Powder on the sentiment and Real Red and Old Olive Ink for the flowers. I then tied a bit of Red Grosgrain Ribbon and tied in a bow to complete the look.

Lexicon of Leaves

Good Morning Everyone!

I’ve been preparing my “Start to Finish” Class for September 10th and here is one of the cards we’ll be doing.

It features the “Lexicon of Leaves” set from Stampin’ Up! I had great fun pulling out my pastels and coloring with them. I haven’t had them out in awhile.

September Start to Finish 009_thumb[13]

I’ve distressed the edges of the mats and curled a bit, it just felt right for me. Curling leaves, curling mats….just my thinking. I then sponged some color on the edges. The leaf was colored with the Pastels using a Blender Pen and sponge tip applicator. Don’t forget I used a Texturz Plate as you can see in the background. This card was oodles of fun to make.

I hope you enjoy it. If you would like to attend this class email me at leeconrey@bellsouth.net

Great News~My Stampin’ Friends~Gift Card

Hi Everyone!!

First I’d like to mention that I have been selected by Sherrill Graff from the Late Night Stampers  to be in the “Artist Spotlight”. I am quite honored that she chose to do this. Please take a moment and check out Sherrill's blog and then feel free to mosey back to mine! If you'd like, feel free to leave a comment or two on both, we’d love it

Now!!!!!

You know what the best part of this job is? The Friends I’ve made!!! These are the girls that came to Terri’s party at my house on Sunday. I can honestly say it is way more than just a customer relationship with these girls…I love em’ all!! Yes Terri I know you think I like you best but I adore all of you. hehe

Terri's Party 006

From left to right: Rose Ann….she’s such a good friend and even helped me out before convention…I owe you a lunch Rose Ann! Shelba in front and the “Princess” of the group…she’s so funny and best friends with Terri. Linda is behind Shelba and so sweet….she’s also great fun. Angie is next to Linda and also has a real fun personality and fits right into this hand picked group that seemed to just evolve.Ah!! Then we have Coleen in the front with the blue top. When I met Coleen she was in charge of a Function that I was participating in. She said “Oh No” I couldn’t do that!!!! When I approached her about stamping. Can I just say this woman jumps up and down when her orders come in and knows the catalog better than me!!!…then we have Terri on the far right. this was her party and man does she know how to throw a party. She’s so funny…..saying I’m just going to bring a few things. It was a full blown luncheon with two desserts (one compliments of Shelba). Terri get so excited when she see’s a product she likes…Like “Rich Razzleberry” , okay I said it and for those of you that were there you know what I mean. Wink! We are missing our Little Gina….can we just say adorable….she had to leave early for another engagement. Sorry you missed the group shot Gina!

Anyway for me to say I like these girls is an understatement. I love these girls!!! Thank for being a part of my lives, I can’t imagine not having any of you in it.

By the way they are holding the card they did and Terri is holding the Gift Card I presented her with a little something in it for being Hostess.

Here is a picture of the front of it.

Guest Stamper~Terri Duarte

Good Morning Everyone!

I have a special treat for you today. I have a Guest Stamper. Her name is Terri and I met her about a year ago. She was so timid and shy about stamping and it literally made her a nervous wreck. I’d like to share a card she shared with me last evening.  I think it’s just beautiful!! I guess to say she is not timid and nervous about stamping is an understatement. Wouldn’t you agree?

terri's bird on a branch

Terri has used the stamp set “Bird on a Branch” which is one of my favorites. She has combined it with some of our DSP and also Mellow Moss and Perfect Plum Card Stock. How about that White Hodgepodge Hardware?

Terri, you’ve done yourself proud and I’m thrilled as to how far you’ve come. Thanks for sharing with me and everyone that visits my blog.

Come back tomorrow and I’ll share Terri’s workshop she had Sunday.
