Great Friend and Lavender Lace

Great Friend

Good Morning Everyone!

Here is a card I made today using the "Great Friend" Stamp Set. I had a request for something "Purple" for a workshop and I hope this fits the bill. I used the Texturz Plate for the top background and will show how to do that at my workshop and camp this month. It's so neat and fun to do. I then Stamped the butterfly image twice...cut on to pop up over the other. I felt it need something else so I did the dots with my white gel pen and used some of our gorgeous White Organza Ribbon. Of course I added just a hint of Dazzling Diamonds to the Butterfly. I used Lavender Lace Ink and Cardstock

Thanks for stopping by and as always...

Exciting News

Good Morning Everyone,

I've got some very exciting news to share. I have been invited to be one of the designer/Operators on a new joint venture blog. The blog was created by Selene Kempton and she has invited several fellow Demonstrators to participate. You're going to love all the different styles you'll be seeing in the weeks ahead.

This blog is called Stamping 411 and is a place where you can go and learn all sorts of stamping tips, tricks and ideas. We are going to get back to basics and hopefully teach the art of rubber stamping and make things a bit easier for everyone. As the blog progresses you will be able to ask questions (hence the 411...operator's, get it?) of the different "Operators".

Another thing is that we will have weekly sketch challenges and you'll be able to view the work of 5 Operators (Designers) all in one spot.

You are not going to believe the talent that is on this blog......You'll just have to check it out to see.

In the meantime here is this weeks sketch challenge and my interpretation of it. Enjoy and don't forget to visit Stamping 411.

ssketch101 Sketch #101

Soft_Summer_Sketch_thumb[4] I used the fabulous “Soft Summer” Stamp Set for this challenge card. I stamped the image in Black Stazon and colored in with re-inkers and an Aqua Painter. I used Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss for the image. I then matted onto a piece of Baha Breeze. The background mat is featuring our Parisian Breeze Designer Series paper….isn’t it fabulous? My favorite part is the ribbon, which is our White Organza Ribbon which I dyed to match the cardstock. I took my sponge dauber and picked up some color off of my Baja Breeze ink pad and rubbed it over my white ribbon….perfect match!!! Don’t you just love how all of our products match?

I appreciate you stopping by and hope you’ll stop by Stampin 411 to see the other talent….you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks Selene…it’s quite an honor to be associated with all of these fabulous ladies!!!

As always….have a Stampinglee good Day!

Tart and Tangy

Good Morning Everyone,

Here’s a little card I did for Erin’s party on the 6th of June. She wanted to use the Tart and Tangy set and it’s always so fun and easy to work with.

I used some of our Rockabilly DSP on it as well and some Kiwi Kiss on the base of the card. It just ties in beautifully. Let’s not forget the Kiwi Kiss ribbon that will soon be gone as well.

You can always purchase these items at my online store here. It’s 24/7 shopping anytime you want.

Amy’s Fifth Avenue Floral

Amy's 5th Ave Floral in Red and Back

Hi Everyone!

I just had to share this great card done by my friend Amy. She is a former Demonstrator and comes to some of my events. I just love how she has used the Fifth Avenue Floral on this card. The base is white and the Mat is Rose Red with Back Accents. She rounded some of the corners and scalloped the edge to touch it off. Notice the little ladybug? How stinkin’ cute is that? This is a great card, I just love it and wanted to share some of Amy’s work with you.

Thanks for sharing Amy!

I hope you all have a Safe Holiday weekend and as always….

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!

Masculine Birthday Card

Hi Everyone!

Today is our youngest son Jason’s 35th Birthday. That’s so hard to believe. Hard to figure out as well as I’m only 42!!!!!!!! Where in the world has time gone? We just got back in from dinner with him and I wanted to share the card I made for him. It’s a simple card, not to fussy or frilly and I think suits him just fine. I hope you enjoy it.

I used the Inspired by Nature Set some or our glorious Designer Series paper and our Baja Breeze Card Stock. I also used a Texturz Plate and did a little paper Piercing to jazz it up in a understated way.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a………………

Delightful Confection

Good morning Everyone!
I wanted to share a cute idea that I saw done by Meilssa Rodgers.
She's over at megastampinstudio.com
I love the idea of using the rockabilly Designer Series Paper and embellishing it with 1/2" punched circles in nay color you want. I did use a different stamp set. All I could invision was Ice Cream Sherbet once I had placed the dot on the black and white paper. So I used the Goody goody Gumdrops Level 3 Hostess set to make this adorable card. I just love the simple softness of it.
I used the 1 3/4" circlepunch and the Circle Scissors to make the pink layer to the circle with a 2" circle. I then scalloped a white edge and put it all together for this delightful confection!
Hope you enjoy it and as always....
Have a Stampinglee Good Day!

Fun and Fabulous

Good Morning Everyone,
I've been playing catch-up for days. Seems like I've not posted in awhile.
I wanted to share one of the cards we'll be doing at my Camp on May 22nd and 23rd.
This card features the Oval All Set...so fabulous with the coordinating punches. I also used a Texturz Plate and paper pierced in between the diamonds....give it an awesome look. I wanted to use some of our textured Designer Series Paper, so I used the Parisian Breeze, isn't it gorgeous?
Then to top off this simple beauty I dyed the ribbon.....have to come to camp to find out how!!! This was the our White Organza Ribbon. OMG!!! I'm in love with all the colors I can make now using this ribbon.
I hope to see you there.....you can rsvp here if you'd like.
I hope you all have a Stampinglee Good Day!

Father's Day

Good Morning Everyone!

I just made this Father's Day Card this morning. It was inspired by Karen Duke a Canadian Stampin friend of mine. I used the Sanded Background Stamp, Inspired by Nature Stamp and also the And May Mower Stamp set for the words. The colors are Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, whisper White and Kraft Cardstock. I used the Horizontal Slot Punch for the cattails and masked the moon with a post it note that was punched with the 1 1/2' circle and sponged it with So Saffron. Notice the hemp wrap around the greeting. I think it adds a bit of interest to the card. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back soon. As aways........

Good Morning Everyone!
First things first! I want to announce my Blog Candy Winner!!! Sorry I'm late with it but it's been crazy here. The winner is OrAmy from Orlando! Please contact me so that I can get the little purse to you.
Now on to my Card.
This is a simple card I will be doing Thursday at my "Start to Finish" Class. It's a class where everyone brings they're own cutter and actually learns how to cut out they're own cards. We do two cards and it's a lot of fun trying to remember all those fractions!!! Anyway this is the "Thoughts and Prayers" set from Stampin' Up! and it's in the Occasion Mini. The card is done in Whisper White and Old Olive with just a touch of Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose for the flowers. I will also teach my ladies how to stamp the image and remove some of the ink and then re-ink the flowers. It's quick and easy and FUN!!!
Hope to see you back soon and as always,
Have a Stampinglee good Day!

5- Small Oval punches in a coordinating Designer Paper of your choice
1- Five Petal Punch in a Different Designer paper
1- Long strip for the center of the flower cut at ½” x 12”

1. Mark the center of the scallop circle

3. Once cut take the bone folder and curl away to form the petals.
4. Place a large pop-up glue dot in the center.
5. Curl ovals to form petals and adhere to first glue dot
6. Place a few regular glue dots on top of the ovals and adhere the Five Petal Punch Piece.
